2AM, 2PM & SNSD are nuts for each other!

It seems that the members of 2AM, 2PM and SNSD are nuts for each other! Their close friendship resurfaced again with the release of SNSD’s new album OH! In the thank you & acknowledgments section of the album, YoonA, Tiffany and Sunny wrote a special thanks to the “Nuts Meetup” members. The members of this highly prestigious club includes YoonA (Pine Nut), Sunny (Peanut), Tiffany (Almond), 2PM’s Taecyeon (Walnut) and 2AM’s Seulong (Cacao). It is rumored that admission into the club is highly sought after, and that the waiting list to get in can be as long as 17 years!

In their new album, YoonA thanked Cacao and Walnut, Sunny gave a shout out to the Nut Meetup members and Tiffany left a longer message in which she thanked Cacao & Walnut as well as corrected that she was an almond and not a pistachio nut.

Tiffany’s correction is a reference to the thank you Taecyeon wrote in one of 2PM’s albums “And our get-together members~ Peanut, Pine Nut, and was it Pistachio?? Let’s hurry and meet up!!” Seulong have also mentioned the nut members in one of his thank yous in the past “[Thanks to] Seulong-OkOng line, I love the nuts!”

Oh Seulong, if only you knew how wrong that sounds in English. Even still, I would have to say that I agree with him on that one because I too love the nuts. Although the difference between us is that I don’t announce my love of nuts to the world. This is primarily because every time I tell people that I love nuts, they always misunderstand me. I mean I can’t have people walking around thinking that I love peanuts and almonds, yuck!

Hottests’ protest canceled

We reported earlier about 2PM fans, Hottest, creating a new fan club dedicated to solely bringing back Jaebeom.

There were plans for a large scale protest in Korea on the 31st at 2pm where fans would hit all the major cities, spreading awareness as they hand out fliers, put up posters, and request signatures for a petition. But the protest has been canceled.

As to why the protest was canceled, it is still unknown and fans who were not aware of the cancellation arrived at the locations confused and informed of the cancellation by the police. Stay tuned for the next chapter.

Hottests just aren’t satisfied with 6

2PM recently got a new fanclub amongst the countless that they have. However, this one is quite different as it was made for one sole reason: to bring Jaebeom back.

Instead of following the beast idols’s schedules or sending them food, this fanclub goes around posting posters for Jaebeom’s comeback. On the 30th, these fanclub members raided JYP Entertainment with posters reading, ‘It has to be 7 members,‘ and ‘We’re not buying if it’s not 7 members.’

The fanclub stated, “We will be rooting for the 7-member 2PM as we wait for JYPE to clarify all the news and rumors regarding Jaebeom.”

On the 31st at 2pm, the fanclub will be hitting up all the major cities in Korea to spread word regarding Jaebeom’s withdrawal. More specifically, they will be handing out flyers with the information of Jaebeom’s withdrawal from 2PM and they will be passing a petition around to ask for JYPE’s clarification.

Stay tuned for more updates tomorow at 2pm!

Hottest’s plan for large-scale protests

2PM’s fanclub, Hottests, are planning to do another protest, but this time, every fan in Korea is apparently attending.

On the 2PM fancafe, it stated, “On the 31st of January, starting from 1PM, we will have a nationwide protest for Park Jaebeom’s withdrawal status. The location will be Jong-ro 2-Ga, Seoul. I know you guys are busy, but please come and support.”

Fans are in discomfort because the direction in which this incident seems to be headed, is that Jaebeom will not return. In their opinions, the situation is totally opposite from when JYP gave them hope on Jaebeom’s return through national television. In addition, the recent news of Sunmi’s withdrawal from the Wonder Girls has made Hottests even more anxious.

Will these protests do anything? What if it was Jaebeom’s sole decision to withdraw and not JYPE’s fault? How will fans justify their behavior then?

Taecyeon and Yoona will not be lovers on Family Outing Season 2

It looks like we won’t be seeing 2PM’s Taecyeon and SNSD’s Yoona having a relationship with each other on the upcoming Family Outing Season 2.

On January 28th, the PD of the show said “I know fans are anticipating to see a loveline between Taecyeon and Yoona on the show, but there will be nothing like that at all.”

He then said, “There will be no loveline, but they will be shown as good friends to the public. While we were filming, shooting only the two of them looked so beautiful, but there was no reason to create a loveline between them.”

Fans had expected the two to have a cute loveline because of their couple stage at the 2009 MBC Gayo Daejun, as well as the rumors about them wearing couple rings and dating. But amidst speculations that they were dating, Taecyeon said, “It’s just for business.”

The PD is making the right choice, as the loveline would just create anti-fans for both of them. But who knows? The two might develop a loveline naturally… at least we hope so!

f(x)’s Sulli to join Taecyeon & Wooyoung as Inkigayo MC

We were sad to see the sweet Ha Yeon Joo leave her MC duties on SBS Inkigayo, but it looks like her replacement will definitely brighten up the screen once more: it’s been announced that f(x) cutie Sulli is joining 2PM’s Taecyeon and Wooyoung as the newest Inkigayo MC!

A rep expressed that Sulli’s brightness and charm naturally led her to the charismatic duties of being a music show hostess. “Sulli has had experience as a child actress, and she is expected to do well.”

This Sunday on January 31, Super Junior members Leeteuk and Heechul will be hosting the Vancouver Olympics Inkigayo special, but Taecyeon, Wooyoung and Sulli will MC the following week on February 7.

So who’s excited to see Sulli on Inkigayo? Considering the size of the individual fanbases for each of these three idols, let’s just hope that the MCs don’t outshine the artists they’re presenting.

JYP Entertainment responds to the Wonderfuls

With all the hoopla going on with JYP Entertainment and the Wonderfuls over Wonder Girl Mimi’s withdrawal from the group, JYPE has decided to setup a storage room for better communication between the two parties.

Here’s the full message posted on their website, translated by hazyfiasco@2ONEDAY.COM:

“This is JYP Entertainment.

Hello, fans.

In an effort to accommodate the needs of the fans, JYP Entertainment has decided to set up a storage room in order to better the communication between the fans and our company.

During crucial matters such as our celebrity withdrawals, promotion suspensions, and member changes, we’re planning to reply to all questions submitted in written form to the best of our ability.

However, we ask for you to understand that we’re prohibited to reveal information regarding contracts with other companies or personal requests regarding our celebrities. Excluding these two points, we promise to answer questions without any exaggerations, watered-down answers, or distortions since these will be treated as the official opinions of our company.

If you take our official replies and treat them as false information or release false information that we never said, we will immediately suspend the conversations.

A couple of days ago, we received a representative question regarding Sunmi’s (Mimi) withdrawal from the Wonder Girls. Our company will soon be sending a reply.

Since we have now created an official storage room, we ask for the fans to please leave their written questions on the designated wall by the company building. Every 24 hours, we will take pictures of the wall and take the questions down into the storage room.

Our company has been using the terms of the fair contract since November of 2009 and all decisions made regarding promotional activities are by the celebrities in question. Our company must comply to their requests and we will continue to hold these terms in our contracts.

We will work harder to listen to all of the voices of the celebrities in our company and their fans.

Thank you.”

Out of all the Entertainment companies it seems JYP Entertainment handles these situations the best. They actually go out of their way to work with the fans and worry about their concerns and feelings, kudos to them. Thanks to amysweets for the tip.

More details on 2PM for Coca Cola

Back in late December, the boys of 2PM were spotted on the set of a Coca Cola commercial. In the past day, more details has been provided about this new relationship between 2PM and Coca Cola.

On January 27th, a representative at Coca Cola revealed that 2PM signed a 1 year contract with the company to endorse their new product called Coke Mini. Coke Mini comes in a smaller package and it’s an extra choice for potential health-conscious consumers. The representative also stated, “2PM fits in with Coca-Cola’s image. The boys are bright and bring a positive image and appearance. 2PM brings happiness to the audience and this is the image we would like to portray with this new product, Coke Mini.”
